03 PORCELAIN / PROJECTION / INTENTION

GamesIn development

EGOFORM

Fight with two bodies.

I’m developing a game in which a small robot fights alongside its much larger projected form. Their distance, angle and timing matter to how you coordinate the pair.

Try moving the projection.

Change its distance and angle, then send an intention between the two forms. The diagram explains the idea; watch the gameplay to see the pair fighting together.

Read a description of the video

A small robot and a much larger projected form fight together in a luminous purple arena. The reel moves through coordinated strikes, Force form, Flow form and a larger guardian encounter. On-screen titles read “One mind. Two bodies”, “Strike together”, “Commit. Break. Punish”, “Keep moving”, “Read the next beat”, and “The Unchanging”. It closes on the EGOFORM title. Electronic music and combat effects accompany the footage; there is no spoken narration.

Keeping track of the pair

The small robot is your physical presence in the arena, while its Egoform reaches beyond it. I’m interested in how the connection between them can become something you understand through play.

That connection has to make sense while a fight is happening. Where is the robot? Where is its projection? How does the distance between them change what you can do?

The “Strike together” chapter shows the pair coordinating an attack. You can also adjust their relationship in the diagram above before returning to the footage.

Force and Flow

The September reel shows two forms. Force emphasises commitment and impact; Flow emphasises movement. Use the chapter controls to compare them and see how the pair move through each part of the fight.

INSIDE THE MAKING

Identity. Space. Scale.

Four small EGOFORM robots appear side by side with red, cyan, purple and yellow accents.
An August 2026 character identity sheet, comparing the four accent colours across a shared robot form.

Four accent colours sit within the same robot silhouette. A small change gives each form a different identity.

Developing the visual identity

The August captures show the two bodies in a grey prototype arena. By the September reel, the visual direction includes porcelain forms, projected light and calligraphic movement.

I’ve kept the earlier work here alongside the later footage so you can compare them. The character studies show changes in colour and form, while the gameplay shows those decisions in motion.
